Dee Set is excited to share the most recent step in our relationship with Grocery Aid after becoming a recognised Major Partner in the Charity’s D&I Programme. This is a big step for the company and reflects our continuous dedication to advancing inclusion and diversity both inside our organisation and throughout the broader grocery industry. Grocery Aid offers financial and emotional support to those who work in the grocery sector. The Charity's mission is to assist people who are struggling through adversity including illness, health and wellbeing, disability or financial hardship. By collaborating with other clients including Sainsbury's, Tesco, Asda & Co-op, Dee Set will be helping to safeguard and support grocery industry colleagues nationwide. Antony Lee, People & Retail Director, highlighted the significance of this move: “We have been working with Grocery Aid for a number of years and this next step in our partnership solidifies this relationship. As a company we are in the early stages of our D&I journey, but we are already making significant strides towards becoming a more diverse and inclusive business – which is really important to us. “We are now capturing D&I data from our new and existing colleagues through our HR systems to shape our strategy in the future. This data will ensure that our D&I strategy is not only effective, but also inclusive of all our colleagues going forward. “The next phases of our D&I agenda includes creating an internal working group that will form and lead Dee Set's D&I strategy, ensuring it remains a central part of the company's ethos. We are keen to build allyship and equity within our business, which will be a significant part of this. We also plan to extend our D&I strategy to celebrate, recognise and inspire, showing a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion throughout our business and beyond. “We look forward to joining the Learning Lab sessions held by Grocery Aid and its partners, evolving from these shared learning and best practice opportunities and nurturing our D&I agenda.” Dee Set was honoured for its work on behalf of Grocery Aid by winning a Bronze Award for its support of the organisation during the previous year. The business joins Tactical Solutions, a fellow member of the Dee Set Group, who also recently announced an expansion of its partnership with the Charity by becoming an official SME Partner. Overall, Dee Set's alliance with Grocery Aid is a big step for the business and reflects our dedication to fostering inclusion and diversity in the grocery sector. Dee Set is joining many other likeminded retailers and brands across the grocery sector recognising the importance of diversity and inclusion. We look forward to maintaining our partnership with Grocery Aid in the future and advancing our D&I commitments, supporting and safeguarding industry colleagues.
