The UK’s largest retail field marketing specialist, Dee Set Group, has appointed Antony Lee as its new people and retail director following a corporate restructure at the start of 2022. Antony Lee originally joined the company in 2018 as the head of retail operations for the company’s Morrisons account, before being promoted to people director in 2020. In his new role, Antony will now look to navigate the current shortages in the labour market, while also working to create a united team culture across the group following Dee Set’s acquisition of a number of companies in recent years. This comes at a time when the organisation is also recruiting for 350 new roles across the country following the growth of some key customer accounts and new business wins. The company employs over 4,000 people, and has the largest field sales team in the UK, with a retail marketing specialist based within ten miles of 97% of the UK’s retail stores. It is now looking to recruit both field supervisors and merchandisers, as well as a range of fulfilment roles within the organisation’s warehouses. Based in the North West, the company helps brands to improve retail performance both in-store and online, while also working with retailers to improve the performance of non-core categories. It does this by utilising market-leading software that turns rich data into simple, actionable insights at speed. Dee Set’s dedicated data science team has now collected over three billion units of data, which artificial intelligence uses to deliver predictive insights to some of the UK’s best-known retailers and FMCG brands, including Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, John Lewis, Kellogg’s and Arla Foods. This supports over £4 billion in retail sales every year for the group’s clients. Antony Lee said: “People are the driving force of a successful business, and I am looking forward to continuing to work with my colleagues to give them the training and support they need to progress and thrive within this ambitious, fast-growing business. “Dee Set Group is an industry-leading company that is progressive and innovative. We take pride in being tech-led, but people-centred, and are looking for the right people to help with the group’s continued growth. “We work with some of the biggest brands and retailers and have great working relationships with them. We’ve also got a great team and company culture, which is values-led, supports equality and diversity, and which prioritises your personal and professional development.” To find out more about Dee Set Group and to apply for one of the 350 new roles, please visit our careers page.
